We had a great time at Carillon Assisted Living! It was our first time back at Carillon for the 2015-2016 AOK year as well as our first event of the AOK year. We had many friends and AOK siblings joined us, as well as two AOK parents- Mrs. Obodum and Mrs. Odondi. The residents were thrilled to see us! We sang our usual choruses and played our handbells. Mrs. Anne shared a beautiful fall devotional with us. One resident even asked for a copy! Youth for Christ, a children's stringed orchestra at our church, played the hymn "Christ the Lord is Risen Today". Noble, our Chief Operating Officer, accompanied them on the piano. It was beautiful! Finally, we all celebrated Noble's 15th birthday with one of our favorites: Apfelküchen, a delicious German cake. We also gave each resident two special matted fall picture that AOKs and their siblings each handmade using special sponging techniques with stencils and ink pads. All in all, we had a terrific time!
